There is no national price for a small group plan; there is a filed individual-market price for every county, and a survey average for employer plans. Both are useful if you know which you are looking at.
A group quote, an ICHRA costing and the owner’s own plan all start from the same census: who is on payroll, their ages and home counties. Enter your ZIP and a licensed agent runs all four routes for your business, free.

“I run my own business and my time is valuable. Daniel handled everything — compared the private options, explained what I was actually getting, and had me covered fast. Way better experience than trying to navigate it myself.”
KFF’s 2025 Employer Health Benefits Survey put the average annual premium at $25,572 for family coverage, with workers paying $6,850 of it; single coverage runs roughly a third of the family figure. Small firms pay close to the average premium but often ask workers for a larger share of family coverage. These are employer-plan averages, not quotes.
What an ICHRA or QSEHRA allowance buys is the plan an employee picks in their county. Across the 24 HealthCare.gov states on this site the median Silver premium for a 40-year-old in 2027 runs from the low $600s to over $1,200 a month before any credit; the state pages give each state’s median, cheapest plan and spread, and Coverage by County has every county.
Both markets price by age. A 60-year-old costs about three times a 21-year-old under the federal age curve in the individual market; small-group plans in most states use the same curve, so an older team costs more under every structure.
A group quote needs a census (ages, home ZIPs, who takes family coverage); an ICHRA costing needs the same list priced on each county’s market. A licensed agent runs both from the ZIP box above; the premium is the same whether an agent is involved or not.
